The Russian defense ministry announced that its forces successfully foiled a “terrorist attack” by Ukraine on the Black Sea port city of Sevastopol in Crimea. The attack, comprising seven unmanned aerial vehicles and two unmanned semi-submersible boats, was thwarted near Sevastopol, with several aerial and underwater drones destroyed in the process.<\/p>\n
According to the ministry’s statement on the Telegram messaging app, no casualties or damage occurred as a result of the attack. Russian forces shot down two aerial drones over the Black Sea at a significant distance from the coastline, while five were intercepted by the country’s electronic warfare forces.<\/p>\n
Additionally, two unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) were discovered in the northern part of the Black Sea and subsequently destroyed by fire.<\/p>\n
