According to a statement from the Hague-based court on Tuesday, the warrants were issued based on reasonable grounds to believe that these men were responsible for\u00a0<strong>missile strikes carried out by the Russian armed forces against Ukrainian electric infrastructure<\/strong>\u00a0between October 10, 2022, and at least March 9, 2023.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1020px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-media.tass.ru\/width\/1020_b9261fa1\/tass\/m2\/en\/uploads\/i\/20240625\/1422573.jpg\" alt=\"Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov and Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu \/TASS\" width=\"1020\" height=\"649\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Picture Credit:TASS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>During this period, numerous strikes targeted electric power plants and sub-stations across multiple locations in Ukraine. The ICC accuses former Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu and General Valery Gerasimov of\u00a0<strong>war crimes<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0<strong>crime against humanity<\/strong>\u00a0of inhumane acts.
