ASTANA, Jan 16 (Astanatimes) – Kazakhstan’s passport has advanced to the 65th position in the 2025 Henley Passport Index, released on January 8. Kazakh citizens can now visit 77 countries without requiring a visa or using a simplified procedure.

The index ranks 199 passports and 227 travel destinations. In 2024, Kazakhstan was ranked 66th.

Singapore continues to hold the top spot, offering 195 visa-free travel opportunities, while Japan follows closely with 193 destinations.

France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, along with Finland and South Korea, share the third position, each providing access to 192 destinations without a prior visa.

Afghanistan remains at the bottom of the ranking, holding the 106th position with access to only 26 visa-free destinations.

The Henley Passport Index, which draws on 19 years of historical data and regularly updated expert analysis, relies on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association to reflect the latest shifts in passport power.
