<\/p>\nLONDON,June 04\u00a0\u2013 The 7th annual Eurasian Film Festival (EAFF) concluded Sunday after a six-day celebration spotlighting cinematic talent across Eurasia. Hosted in London from May 22-27, the event united filmmakers, industry professionals, and audiences under the joint organization of Silk Road Media and the Eurasian Creative Guild (ECG), in partnership with the Romford Film Festival.<\/p>\n

ECG Film Festival 2025 Winners:<\/strong><\/p>\n Animation Documentary Feature Films Mobile Video Music Video (Audience Award) Screenplays (Special Jury Mentions) Short Films Special Jury Mentions:<\/p>\n Literature & Cinema: A Dialogue of the Arts<\/strong><\/p>\n A key theme of this year\u2019s festival was the connection between literature and film. The program featured a presentation of The Legends of the Great Silk Road: Adventures of the Spirit of Time<\/em> \u2014 a children’s book series by Gulchekhra-begim Makhmudova \u2014 which explored its screen adaptation potential.<\/p>\n Prominent guests in this dialogue included Anna Gharib<\/strong>, Open Eurasia literary award winner, and Ukrainian poet Serhii Bilyi<\/strong>, who presented a future screen project based on his novel The Maestro and the Muse<\/em>.<\/p>\n On May 27th<\/strong>, a special crowdfunding event was held, giving attendees the opportunity to co-invest in an upcoming film. Spearheaded by British actress Francesca Mepham<\/strong>, the initiative generated significant industry interest.<\/p>\n Special Recognitions<\/strong><\/p>\n As part of the event, Poezija Londyn Foundation<\/strong>, established by ECG Chair Marta Brassart<\/strong>, presented honorary medals to:<\/p>\n The festival welcomed diplomats, cultural and film industry figures, including representatives from the embassies of Kyrgyzstan<\/strong>, Uzbekistan<\/strong>, and Belarus<\/strong>, as well as acclaimed actress and producer Mamta Kash<\/strong>.<\/p>\n A special guest of honor was Ray Morgon<\/strong>, Head of the Havering Borough Council.<\/p>\n Filmmakers had the chance to connect with Spencer Hawken<\/strong>, founder of the Romford Film Trust<\/strong>, and Peter Blunden<\/strong>, director of Lumiere Cinema<\/strong>, opening opportunities for potential theatrical distribution in London.<\/p>\n Creativitys UK Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n The festival also hosted the Creativitys UK Awards<\/strong> on the Romford stage, where Maria Bregman<\/strong> presented a special honor to Marat Akhmedjanov<\/strong>, head of the Silk Road Media<\/em> holding, for his outstanding contribution to international cultural collaboration.<\/p>\n Leadership Transition<\/strong><\/p>\n After four years of dedicated service, Anna Lari<\/strong> officially handed over the directorship of the ECG Film Festival<\/strong> to Alexandra Rey<\/strong>, marking a new chapter for the festival\u2019s future.<\/p>\n Closing Ceremony<\/strong><\/p>\n The festival concluded on May 28th<\/strong> with an informal closing celebration at the Ron L. Hubbard Museum (Fitzroy House)<\/strong>, where guests enjoyed traditional English tea in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.<\/p>\n With pride, we reflect on this vibrant, cinematic journey filled with premieres, discussions, and artistic inspiration.
