Putin’s landslide victory: Wins Russian presidency with a resounding 87.32%

  • Nikolay Kharitonov, the candidate from the Communist Party, secured the second position with 4.32% votes
  • In his victory speech, the Russian President emphasized that his primary focus will be on the conflict in Ukraine and bolstering the military

MOSCOW/Correspondent LP /TASS/ – As of 7:00 a.m. Moscow time (4:00 a.m. GMT), with 99.43% of the votes counted, incumbent President Vladimir Putin is leading the 2024 presidential race in Russia with a commanding 87.32% of the vote, as per the data released on the official website of the Russian Central Election Commission.

Nikolay Kharitonov, the candidate representing the Communist Party, is in second place with 4.32% of the votes. He is closely followed by Vladislav Davankov of the New People party who has secured 3.79% of the votes. Leonid Slutsky, the candidate from the LDPR, is currently in fourth place with 3.19% of the votes.
