MOSCOW/TASS/- In the wake of the devastating terrorist strike at Crocus City Hall’s concert venue, Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova has called for international solidarity to apprehend the orchestrators of the assault.
“Today, more than ever, it’s imperative for the global community to band together to track down those responsible and ensure they face justice,” Moskalkova stated while paying respects at an impromptu memorial erected near the attack site.
Moskalkova extended her deepest sympathies to the bereaved families and wished a swift recovery to the survivors of the heinous attack, which she described as “a barbaric act of terror.” She added, “Our hearts are heavy with sorrow and revulsion for those capable of such a vile deed.”
The incident occurred on the evening of March 22, when terrorists struck the music venue located in Krasnogorsk, on the outskirts of Moscow. The Russian Investigative Committee reports that the death toll currently stands at 137, with the possibility of an increase. The Health Ministry of the Moscow Region has confirmed that 182 individuals sustained injuries. Authorities have detained eleven suspects linked to the attack, including four armed individuals apprehended in the Bryansk Region as they tried to flee across the border into Ukraine. In a national broadcast, President Vladimir Putin revealed that initial findings suggest a deliberate breach was created in the border by the Ukrainian side to facilitate the terrorists’ undetected passage. Putin vowed to bring to justice all those implicated in the Crocus City Hall tragedy and has declared March 24 as a day of national mourning in honor of the victims.
